Automatic- Unconscious Drawing Workshops
The Automatic Drawing Workshops aim to enable participants to explore their unconscious mind by combining the Automatic Drawing technique with meditation.
Automatic Drawing is a technique used by surrealist painters to draw directly from the unconscious by passing consciousness, inspired by Freud's psychoanalytic techniques such as free association and the Rorschach test. In the workshops we apply this technique, also known as artists' meditation, after a meditation where we observe consciousness and self. Thus, the event is a relaxing, personally meaningful and mentally satisfying experience for every participant. The goal is not to create artistic or aesthetic images, so no drawing experience is required. Throughout the event, we turn inside and explore the depths of our unconscious mind and the real "us".
Everyone has a different story. We make a group share sessions and 1-2-1 consultation of our stories at the end of the workshop.
The concept and content is designed by me inspired by my process in Artefacts from the Unconscious project.
“ You don't know what you're doing in the begining, but when you finish, it's like, yes it couldn't have been anything else. ”
“ I never thought I would hang a painting I did to my wall, I just love it because it means so much to me now. ”
