Coins

Sclupture, 2022

The mirror-like coins belongs to the speculative society who are called " the ones who became ocean", it depicts their values through deities, and poetry. Their mythology has three oceanic deities. These deities are hybrids of female body parts and ocean animals which embodies their values drawing the intersections as well as meanings of those combinations beyond metaphorical. 

Anegina

A hybrid of the human vagina and the ocean animal anemon. It symbolises the concept of time from a gestational perspective, built through care and hope.

 

Whale-eye
Female gaze and the ocean animal whale. It symbolises the cetacean-ic wisdom which this society looks up to find the courage to surrender to tidal return.

 

Mouthonge
A sea sponge with human mouth with distinct coloured lips. It symbolises the porosity of oceanic becoming which reflects the understanding of relationships in this society.

They are exhibited with "Shrine" and "Deities, Priestess, Hero" .
